in love with a pig.

I’ve mentioned before that Prima Marketing has sent me their products in the past to try out and share here on the blog.  I’ve hosted a few giveaways featuring their products as well (and I have a giveaway of their metallic wax planned for next week).

Well last Saturday a giant box arrived on my doorstep.  I wasn’t entirely expecting it, although I had mentioned to Cari at Prima that I would love to try some of their new products.  She’d said she would see what she could pull together to send out, but I wasn’t sure if anything would be coming my way.

Then the giant box arrived.  It was filled with cool products for me to play around with and I’m looking forward to doing some experimenting.  Prima has some amazing new transfer designs coming out so you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for those, as well as a few other fab items.

Among the goodies were several loose sheets of tiny transfers.

The transfers themselves are about 1.25″ across each.  I instantly loved all of the different designs, but I wasn’t sure what they were for.  Then it occurred to me, knobs!

Yep, sure enough, these are their brand new re.design knob transfers which are being released to stores today!

I couldn’t wait to give them a try, so I pulled out my stash of wooden knobs.

One could say that I have a lot of wooden knobs.  I tend to take them off things and replace them with glass knobs instead (although that’s definitely going to change now that I have these transfers).

First I decided to test out whether or not the transfers would be very visible applied over a typical wood knob.

It’s a subtle look, but I think it works.

But I wanted to experiment with something that had a little more impact so I painted a bunch of the knobs using Fusion’s Limestone, my favorite warm white.

And that’s when the fun really began.

I started out with the Bees & Queens design from the Cursive Letters collection.

It didn’t take me long to realize that these were going to be amazing.

Next I tried a design from the Paris Cottage collection.

I had a couple of pink knobs in my stash so I decided to give them something floral.  This design is also from the Paris Cottage collection.

How sweet are those?

Finally, I had a set of six knobs that were all the same size, so I decided to do them all the same.

I have to admit, I was not expecting to like these as much as I do.  Dare I say it?  I’m in love with a pig!  How amazing would these be on a black dresser or hutch in a kitchen or dining room?

The pigs are from the Farmhouse Delight collection.

Now I just need to find some furniture to use these knobs on!  Or maybe come up with some other creative uses for them.  I’ll definitely be working on that.

In the meantime, what do you think?  Do you love these as much as I do?

You may have to wait until closer to the end of the month to find them.  I found just one of the designs available for pre-order at  Red Posie, and I also saw some pre-order options available on Etsy (search for Prima Marketing knob transfers) for $7.99 per sheet.  I’m sure they will become more readily available over time!

  1. Ohhhh….love these! AND I can see them on a dresser, but also on a straight board as a kind of coat rack or key holder. Beautiful.. and will add just the right touch to anything you use them on. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

  2. So fun, I am definitely ordering them! I love them all, it’s a greatvway to make plain knob sing. Do you think they should have a topcoat over them for durability?

    1. I would use a topcoat over them if they are going on a piece that will see a lot of action. I’ve used the Real Milk Paint Co’s Finishing Cream and MMS Tough Coat over other Prima Marketing transfers and both work great and would provide additional protection.

  3. Loving these transfers for knobs. Will definitely be looking out for these in the U.K. and will definitely be looking out for them on one of your pieces too 😀

  4. Oh how much fun are those!! Can’t wait to see what you come up with. What a truly way to personalize a piece with one of a kind knobs.

  5. Love them! I”m still nervous(little bit of terror and perfection issues) to try the large transfer I won from you. I’m waiting for “help” from a friend and the right piece of furniture. These will be perfect to practice with, and like you, I always take off the wooden knobs and replace them with something else. Definitely want the pig, as we just lost our pot belly girl, Bentley😔 So, a piece for the kitchen in her honor🙂 Thanks for sharing all you share!

    1. Awwww, so sorry for your loss. You definitely need the pig transfers! And you’re so right, starting small with these transfers will be a great way to get a feel for how they work before jumping in to using the larger transfer.

    1. The brilliance belongs entirely to the person at Prima Marketing who came up with this idea because these were meant for knobs all along. I just didn’t realize it. But definitely kudos to them because this is a fantastic idea and I bet we’re going to be seeing these everywhere now.

  6. These are darling! Your transfers turned out so well. I have only used one large transfer and didn’t have as much success…perhaps practice makes perfect?

    1. Yes, definitely. I was probably a little bit ahead of the curve on using transfers because I’d been using rub-on transfers for years in my scrapbooks. It’s basically the same thing, just on a larger scale for furniture. I do think they require a little practice.

  7. I love the pig one too. It makes me want to replace the knobs on something in my house. lol. I hope you use these on a piece soon and share it. I’d love to see how they look on a piece of furniture.

  8. They are wonderful. Would look great as a row of hangers on a rack. Maybe they’d need a sealer to protect them from wear, but they are all adorable,

  9. So cute!! Their transfers are so easy to play with. Love them all! Funny for you! I was in MN / WI last week and my sister was driving us to her cabin in Balsam Lake, WI, via Stillwater, and she pulls into Reclaiming Beautiful’s parking lot saying, “I think you’ll really like this shop.” And I’m like … I KNOW this shop, my friend Linda sells her creations at this shop!! It was fun to see your beautiful work in person. I spent the whole week traveling with only a carry on, so all I could purchase was a brushed silver MN bracelet (which I LOVE), but I did ask if you’d be in that day, hoping to say hello in person. 😀 Cynthia in Seattle p.s. If you’re a rooftop bar type of lady, Cosetta’s and Lexington’s were lovely!!

    1. Oh my gosh Cynthia! Small world! How fun that you stopped in at Reclaiming Beautiful. The statue in my garden is named Cosetta after that bar. Mainly because I found her at a garage sale that was just around the corner though, not because I’ve ever spent much time there 😉

    1. OK … it took me a minute, but I’m with you now. Chris was my husband’s sister (so my sister-in-law) actually. And with your typo changing Bryn to Bryan, I was totally thrown off! Trying frantically to figure out who Bryan was. Well, welcome to the blog, I’m very happy to have you 🙂 And I’m guessing, based on your email address, that we have the same lucky number!

  11. Hi! Just catching up your blogs, so I’m not certain if you’ll get this comment…but I love those! These could be so cool on cigar boxes, hat boxes or just various little abandoned, loose drawers!
